Popularly known as Dadamoni
Sri Sri Tapan Brahmachary
Born in Siliguri to Sri Swadesh Bhusan Gupta and Smt. Sandhya Gupta, Sri Sri Dadamoni is the nephew of Sri Sri Sadhana Devi, Ashram Mata. His connection with Ayachak Ashrama began when he visited the Varanasi Ashrama with his family. Drawn to Sri Sri Mamoni, he stayed, studied in Varanasi, and grew up in the work of the Ashrama.
Under Sri Sri Babamoni and Sri Sri Mamoni he took part in Ashrama activities from a young age and was like a foster-son to Sri Sri Mamoni. As Nikhil Biswa Akhanda Sangha Pradhan he leads with a deliberate simplicity: shortly after taking charge he asked that victory slogans not be chanted in his name. The tradition he reaffirmed names only Sri Sri Babamoni, Sri Sri Mamoni, Ashram Mata, and Bhaida.
Under his leadership the Sangha has taken up unfinished work of Sri Sri Babamoni: land beside the Upasana Mandir, Ashrama mandirs at Hojai, Haflong, Guwahati, and Andal, and at Pupunki a green generator, the revived manure-gas plant, a cowshed, guest house, library, auditorium, museums, congregation hall, and the boundary of the engineering college. The Ayurvedic unit at Varanasi and the mustard-oil plants at Pupunki and Varanasi have also been renewed.
He is recognised in the Sangha as the successor of Sri Sri Mamoni and the person authorised to give diksha.
